Google software repository for Linux
Do you like this story?

Google has made available to the Linux community, its software repositories for Linux distributions known and used ; Google offers installation media repositories walkthrough for:
- Ubuntu 7.04
- Debian GNU / Linux 4.0
- openSUSE 10.2
- Mandriva 2007 Spring
* Also work in newer versions of these distributions.
However, similarly provide configuration via command line , for distributions based on the following package managers (if your distro has no support in the GUI installation step by step):
- APT (Debian, Ubuntu, etc..)
- YUM (Fedora)
- urpmi (Mandriva)
- YaST2 (SUSE)
- RPM (Red Hat
As additional information, we currently can only be installed Picasa and Google Desktop from these repositories, but strongly rumored that the Linux version of Google Chrome can be distributed through these same repositories.
