AIMP is a powerful yet lightweight audio player for Windows , and can be emulated without problems on Linux with Wine. It is so powerful that it is considered as an improved and more stable once king of the lightweight players, Winamp.
AIMP, in its version 2.5 provides a c uality amazing sound and can be further enhanced with the use of plugins. From personal experience, I can tell you with my horns Winamp notebook (very small and low quality) had a rather poor and distorted sound, which improved dramatically when I installed AIMP 2.5
As for the resources consumed, despite its spectacular GUI, just run 2.5 in AIMP and consumes less than 8 megabytes of system RAM , system performance and that neither winamp in its basic version (without skins) can overcome.
Something very interesting is that AIMP supports some plugins originally developed for Winamp and the equalization of it. Still, AIMP features a powerful audio equalizer with 10 preloaded EQs, and other includes 3 fabulous skins (skins) pre-installed and each is coded in the full range of colors. It is available in over 30 different languages, which are translations made by users and validated by the original creators of AIMP.
